This sub pack is NOT month specific! This plan could ALSO be used during May, July, or spring/summer season of the school year because the concepts it covers are beneficial for third grade students in the middle/end of the year.

This pack asks students to:
-show comprehension using a text about lobsters
-read grade-level sight word sentences to determine the mystery ocean animal
-determine (and find) sets of numbers that when multiplied equal 12 or 16
-compare fractions with the same denominator (e.g. 1/4 and 3/4)
-determine and write about the author’s purpose (based on a read aloud)
-write four diary entires about the adventures of a scuba diver
-show comprehension of short passages about endangered ocean animals
TASK CARD game (included for free): Comparing Fractions Task Cards (One game with different numerator/same denominator AND BONUS CHALLENGE GAME with same numerator/different denominator!)
